The Photographer

For me, a photograph does not begin with the click of the shutter, but with a feeling. With the moment when the world holds its breath and the air carries a different energy. The piercing gaze of a lion in the savanna, the silhouette of Neuschwanstein Castle in the evening light, the unposed expression in a portrait: my camera captures these moments. I move between landscape and people photography, always searching for the one image that tells more than what is visible.

My heart belongs to the wildlife of Africa. In the vastness of the continent, I look not only for subjects but for encounters that carry a story.

In 2019, this passion brought a moment I will not forget: my image “Stars and Leopard at Kruger” won the Grand Prize at the Virtuoso Photography Award. The photograph was exhibited for weeks at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. What remains is not the award itself, but the memory of the silence of the night, the waiting under the stars, and the single question: would the leopard hold still for that one moment?

Patience, craft, and a touch of luck — that is what drives me. Every image in this portfolio is a frozen heartbeat. An invitation to see the world through my lens.
